Joe Rogan Attacks Hollywood for its Anti-Second Amendment Stances

There are very few celebrity figures who will stand up to Gun Control Inc. Celebrity culture in the US is largely on the cultural Left and rarely bothers to challenge conventional wisdom.

Podcast host Joe Rogan is one of the exceptions to this trend. In recent months, he has sounded off on a host of issues ranging from free speech to Wuhan virus vaccine skepticism.

Now, Rogan is beginning to criticize gun control — one of the holy sacraments of the current left-liberal political order.

Specifically, Rogan believes it’s hypocritical for Hollywood stars to push for civilian disarmament measures while staying silent about movies depictions of gun violence. There are wholesale genres of movies that are centered around gun violence, with many pro-gun control actors who willingly star in these films.

“Isn’t it f–king wild that Hollywood in general is very anti-gun, but they promote guns more than any other media on the planet?” Rogan asked comedian Tim Dillon, who appeared on the August 19 episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

Rogan continued: “All their best movies, whether it’s ‘The Gray Man,’ or whether you’re watching ‘The Terminal List’ or ‘Mission Impossible.'”

“It’s all ‘Guns save the day.’ Guns kill aliens, guns kill werewolves, guns kill everyone. Everyone bad gets killed by guns.”

Rogan sarcastically observed: “‘But guns are bad and you shouldn’t have guns.’ It’s crazy.”

Dillon offered his two cents: “Well, these are also the same people that live in these 20,000-square-foot homes and fly private jets, but talk endlessly about climate change. The same people.” Dillon believes that Hollywood stars go through a mindset shift once they start raking in big bucks.

“I get it,” the comedian stated.

“Because if they start paying you the kind of money they make to ‘play pretend,’ they start paying you that kind of money to play ‘dress-up’ — $80 million a year, $40 million a year, you start to go crazy.”

Dillon believed that Hollywood luminaries “developed this cognitive dissonance where you see yourself as something completely different than what other people see and your behavior as something that’s completely different.”
“They don’t view that as hypocrisy,” he continued. “They view it as like, ‘Yeah, guns are bad, but we can make them good.'”

Rogan responded: “That’s so crazy.”

“But that’s literally the way they think — ‘Guns are not good, but in our hands, they’re great because we can craft a narrative that makes them justified to have,’” Dillon commented.

“And that woman that lives in her house who protected herself against an intruder? Yeah. That’s not ‘Mission Impossible,'” Dillon added.

“So that’s how crazy they are.”

Rogan replied: “It doesn’t seem odd if you think about what they do, they make fake things. So of course they’re fake.”

Ariel Zilber of New York Post added earlier in the year, “some 200 Hollywood actors, writers, producers and directors signed a pledge vowing to portray guns in a responsible way onscreen.”

Zilber added that some of the most prominent figures “who attached their signatures to the pledge include Julianne Moore, Judd Apatow, Debbie Allen and Adam Brody, among others.”

It is rich to watch Hollywood elites whine about the Second Amendment and the broader gun culture. These people not only star in movies that glorify violence but they also rely on private security for protection of their homes and persons.

Ultimately, what animates Hollywood leftists and liberals is an elitist mindset where they view the rest of America as rubes, especially red-blooded Americans who believe in the right to bear arms. While Rogan is not a right-winger by any stretch of the imagination, he at least has an open mind and is willing to entertain non-PC thoughts.

The more free-thinking celebrities like Rogan who challenge the prevailing narrative, the better. Politics is ultimately an elite man’s game. Any type of parallel elite who can emerge to challenge the present ruling class will augur well for the right to bear arms and other freedoms. A little intra-elite competition never hurts.
