The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) gathered data revealing that there were over 5.4 million first-time gun buyers in 2021.
AWR Hawkins of Breitbart News noted that of those new firearms buyers, 33.2% were women. In addition, 45% of gun stores reported witnessing a rise in the number of African Americans buying firearms in 2021 compared to what they experienced in 2020.
Hawkins added:
The 2021 increases in first-time gun purchases by women and black Americans in 2021 is important because it comes on the heels of 2020, when a similar phenomenon occurred. On August 4, 2020, Breitbart News reported NSSF numbers showing purchases by women and black Americans were up 58 percent from 2019.
People belonging to other minorities, including Hispanics, Asian Americans, and American Indians, have bought guns at a greater rate than before as well.
Hawkins continued demonstrating some of the increases in minority firearms purchases:
Retailers reported that 2021 saw a nearly 37 percent increase in gun sales to Hispanics, a 27 percent increase in gun sales to Asian Americans, and an 18 percent increase in sales to American Indians.
Since the Wuhan virus pandemic kicked off, and the subsequent government response to the pandemic and the unrest surrounding the death of George Floyd, millions of Americans turned to their most reliable civil liberty — the right to bear arms.
Gun control proponents can talk all they want about how necessary gun control is. Most Americans, in their behavior, don’t care for it and instinctively understand the importance of possessing firearms.
This goes to show that Gun Control Inc. will have a mighty struggle in its efforts to abolish the Second Amendment. The American people — of all economic backgrounds, races, and confessions — will not let the Second Amendment die so easily.
