When gun control advocates say that people can’t responsibly handle firearms make sure to send them news of this incident that took place in Bakersfield, California.
On August 21, 2022, two two intruders broke into a lawful individual’s home.
The homeowner immediately caught wind of this incident and responded by shooting back at the intruders, killing one of them.
According to law enforcement reports, the other suspect ran off from the crime scene. The Bakersfield Californian noted that the homeowner “was cooperative with the [Bakersfield Police Department] investigation and has not been arrested.”
AWR Hawkins of Breitbart News noted that “no charges have been filed against the homeowner.”
Self-defensive gun uses like these are actually quite common in America. The research criminologists such as Gary Kleck and Marc Gertz has discovered that 2.2 to 2.5 millions cases of defensive gun use are taking place on a yearly basis. In these cases, Kleck and Gertz found 1.5 to 1.9 million incident involved individuals using handguns to defend themselves.
California is a state that’s thoroughly hostile to the right to bear arms. Thankfully, using firearms in self-defense situations is still nominally respected. However, there is a growing push among Gun Control Inc. to either criminalize self-defense or allow for unscrupulous lawyers to sue gun owners who were involved in a self-defense situation in which they used their firearm to neutralize a criminal.
For that reason, we cannot afford to rest. Gun Control Inc. is going for all the marbles and they will not rest until they completely destroy the Second Amendment. It cannot be stressed enough, we must be ready to fight back and start picking up offensive wins against the gun controllers.
Doing nothing is not an option.
