On that fateful day, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed Senate Bill 319 into law, making the Peach State the 25th state to embrace this law.
According to a FOX 5 Atlanta report, Kemp said after signing the bill, “[This] makes sure that law-abiding Georgians — law-abiding Georgians, including our daughters and your family too — can protect themselves without having the permission of the state government. The Constitution of the United States gives us that right, not the government.”
AWR Hawkins of Breitbart News noted that prior to signing SB 319 into law, Kemp declared that law-abiding Georgians’ “carry permit is the Second Amendment.”
Hawkins listed off the other 24 with Constitutional Carry on the books:
Constitutional Carry is the most successful political fight for the Right in our current generations. It’s no stretch to assume that all red states will pass this legislation by the end of the decade.
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
But to make this dream a reality, pro-Second Amendment activists will have to put in a lot of work and continue pressuring their state officials. Politicians won’t magically restore our rights on their own. They’re going to need a lot of pressure from the grassroots to get with the program.
