Ron DeSantis' Firing of Woke Prosecutor Andrew Warren Was a Big Win for Second Amendment Supporters

Much noise was made earlier this month, when Florida Governor Ron DeSantis removed State Attorney Andrew from his position on the grounds that he was defying state law and undermining rule of law.

Why is this important for Second Amendment supporters? Well, the Second Amendment Foundation’s Investigative Journalism was able to uncover damning information showcasing Warren’s anti-gun sentiments.

In several posts on Facebook and Twitter, Warren spewed hateful rhetoric about the Second Amendment and gun owners.

He said the following about Florida’s stand your ground law, which has likely saved many Floridian lives from criminal threats:

“As we said then, this law protects violent criminals & wastes resources by taking officers off the street and making us try cases twice – and has nothing to do with responsible gun ownership. And it’s slowed down the system, delaying justice for victims and their families.”

In addition, he had choice words for Constitutional Carry, the simple concept that any lawful individual should be allowed to carry a firearm without a permit:

“Don’t let them fool you. This is ‘permitless carry’ – zero limits on who can carry concealed – and has nothing to do w/ the Constitution. This makes our neighborhoods less safe, and law enforcement doesn’t want it. You can’t claim to support cops while supporting this. No sane person thinks the 2nd Amendment protects owning a nuclear weapon, which means we recognize the Constitution clearly permits reasonable regulations on right to bear arms. The only issue is whether it’s reasonable to require permits to conceal – and it definitely is.”

Unsurprisingly, Warren launched nasty invective towards sporting rifles that millions of lawful Americans: “Another mass shooting using a military-style assault rifle that has no place in our society. Another opportunity for us to do something. Another inevitable disappointment by our elected ‘leaders.’ And another difficult conversation with my children about their safety.”

Warren is also a vocal opponent of Florida’s preemption law: “Who in Tallahassee is more hypocritical – extreme pro-lifers who oppose common sense gun laws that save lives, or so-called conservatives who profess local control but routinely bind cities & counties from solving local problems?”

Thankfully, Ron DeSantis relieved Warren of the burden of serving as a state attorney —a position that he defiled through his negligence and soft-on-crime approach to dealing out justice. Warren was selective in the laws he would enforce. For example, he signed public statements vowing to not enforce regulations curtailing abortion or transgender procedures. Back in 2020, Warren refused to prosecute 67 people who were arrested during anti-police demonstrations that turned violent.

Warren’s presence will not be missed. Florida is a solid pro-gun state. According to Guns & Ammo magazine, Florida is ranked in 25th place for its rankings for the best states for gun owners.

It still has work to do, obviously, but with anti-gun state prosecutors like Warren prancing around, Florida will not be able to fully restore Second Amendment rights in the long-term. Warren is funded by the likes of anti-Second Amendment oligarch George Soros, who has made it a point to buy off prosecutors to advance his agenda of lawlessness and disorder.

These Soros-funded prosecutors hate the rule of law and other foundational concepts of American identity such as the Second Amendment. When one supports societal disorder, one of the easiest ways to realize this chaotic vision is by disarming lawful citizens against criminals who are allowed run loose and terrorize people.

Thankfully, the Sunshine State no longer has to worry about the likes of Warren promoting injustice on a daily basis. However, there’s much more work to be done in purging anti-gun and pro-disorder cretins in prosecutor’s offices across the nation.
