You’d be hard-pressed to find a government agency with a more despicable record of constitutional violations than the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). Their entire existence is a slap in the face to the Second Amendment, so naturally gun grabbers like Joe Biden love the anti-gun agency.
To express his love, Joe Biden’s new proposed budget increases the agency’s budget by 13%, making their total yearly budget a whopping $17.4 BILLION.
The budget reads: “The Budget includes $17.4 billion, an increase of $1.7 billion above the 2021 enacted level, for DOJ law enforcement, including a total of $1.7 billion for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to expand multijurisdictional gun trafficking strike forces with additional personnel, increase regulation of the firearms industry, enhance ATF’s National Integrated Ballistic Information Network, and modernize the National Tracing Center.”
Historically, the yearly spending bill has been the go-to place to sneak through legislation that otherwise wouldn’t pass on its own.
In fact, the anti-gun Fix NICS law was only able to pass into law because it was snuck into the 2018 budget appropriations bill.
So this news from Biden should alarm gun owners everywhere.
Biden and his Democrat pals are certain to negotiate with weak-kneed Republicans to get this passed. All it will take for many is offering them a little bit of in-district money to buy them off.
