Anti-Second Amendment Oligarch Michael Bloomberg is Organizing Mayors to Pass New Gun Grabs

In the wake of the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc, v. Bruen Supreme Court decision, Gun Control Inc. has scrambled to find ways to continue their anti-gun plots.

New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen established that New York state’s proper cause requirement for issuing concealed carry permit is unconstitutional.

Tom Knighton of Bearing Arms noted that former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is leading the way with his new anti-Second Amendment group Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG.)

The gun controllers are still seething from the Bruen decision. But that decision has not made Gun Control Inc. give up. According to Larry Keane, the SVP for Government and Public Affairs, Assistant Secretary and General Counsel of NSSF, the gun control crowd has been banding together to assault the Second Amendment.

Democratic mayors from America’s most prominent cities are now working diligently to impose new forms of gun control. MAIG is Bloomberg’s pet project and vehicle to eviscerate the right to bear arms in America.

In the aftermath of the Bruen decision, Bloomberg has been working overtime.

On July 20, 2022, Bloomberg’s group organized several mayors in New York City. These mayors included Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones, Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott and Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown. In addition, Kansas City’s Mayor Quinton Lucas was in attendance. As Keane observed, Lucas has gone above and beyond the call of duty with regards to gun control as evidenced by how he “was just named ‘Gun Sense Lawmaker of the Year’ by Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety for his participation in a scheme by mayors to sue gun manufacturers.”

The main focus of Bloomberg’s new anti-gun campaign consists of the use of “public nuisance” lawsuits to bleed gun manufactuers dry for third parties’ actions.

When Gun Control Inc. is denied victories in the courts and legislatures, the conventional ways of changing public policy, they are forced to get creative. Pursuing the litigation route does the trick for them.

Because of the unconventional nature of the gun controller’s approach, gun owners have to stay on their toes. In politics, opponents will throw major curveballs that can throw one off guard. But that’s why serious pro-Second Amendment activists must be prepared for whatever challenges come their way.

The fight to defend, let alone fully restore our right to bear arms, will not be a walk in the park. It’s time to dig deep.
